Welcome to the Ranch

Hidden Oaks Ranch was established in 1999 by Keith and Cindy Rogers.  The ranch is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, about half way between Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin. Hidden Oaks includes ranches in both Evant/Star and Hamilton.  We are very proud of our registered herd of Herefords.  We have a strong Embryo Transfer program and implant about 200 eggs per year.  All of our cattle are Artificially Inseminated to top sires before putting with the cleanup bull.  We purchase good bulls and replacement females to improve our herd.  The drought over the last few years has decreased our numbers, but that has allowed us to keep only the best of the best females to produce top quality offspring.

Hidden Oaks Ranch is a family run ranch.  We have spent the last 20 years improving our herd of cattle and raising the kids.  Now the kids are grown or almost grown and come home when they can and help around the place. All four were active on the state and national level in the Texas Junior Hereford/Polled Hereford Association, National Junior Hereford Association, 4-H and FFA.   Shelby, the oldest, graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2016 and now serves as the Youth Director, as well as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the American Shorthorn Association.  She was recently married and lives in Kansas.  Koby, followed his dream to become a chef and attended Culinary School.  He is now working at one of the top restaurants in Fort Worth.  He spends most of his time in their catering division and has an unbelievable guest list.  Harley is a student at Texas A&M University.  She has competed on the livestock judging teams at Redlands Community College and a Texas A&M.  She would say being on the judging team has allowed her to travel the country to the best ranches and is the reason she gets to stay an “extra” year at Texas A&M.  At this time, she is hoping to work for a large drug company in pharmaceutical sales.  Brody, our youngest, is also at Texas A&M.  He was on the Texas A&M Wool judging team and was a nominee for Outstanding Freshman in the College of Agriculture.  He has many more years at Texas A&M if he continues to have the desire to become an embryologist.   Keith and Cindy are both graduates of Texas A&M as well.
