To stay at Hidden Oaks Ranch as a female is no easy task. We are very selective with our cow herd. We cull unproductive cows and keep only the ones that can improve our herd. We evaluate udders, pigmentation, maternal abilities and disposition at least twice a year. If you see an older cow at the ranch, she must have really out produced herself and is a model cow.

Our donor cows are carefully selected after they have proven themselves. To begin with, a donor must be a great cow. She must raise a great calf and have a flawless udder. Her pedigree is also very important. We look for proven as well as progressive and new genetics.
