Herd Bulls
Donor Cows Our donor cows are carefully selected after they have proven themselves. To begin with the donor must be a great cow. She must raise a great calf and have a flawless udder. Her pedigree is also very important. Currently donor cows in our herd are:

Horned Hereford cows. We also have about 100 recipient cows carrying Hereford embryos. Selecting good cattle is important and we have criteria that we look for when purchasing cattle as well as culling our own herd. For EPDs, we desire low BW, high YW and WW and moderate milk. For Genotype, we look for proven bloodlines and established pedigrees. When selecting for phenotype we evaluate udders, pigmentation, maternal ability and disposition.
