ABOUT US -
Hidden Oaks Ranch was established in 1999 by Keith & Cindy Rogers. The ranch is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Hidden Oaks includes three separate properties with ranches in Evant, Hamilton & Star. In addition to raising cattle, we have an abundance of whitetail deer, turkey, dove, bobwhite quail, rattlesnakes and an occaisonal fox. We also have a few tanks stocked with bass and some nice catfish in the Cowhouse Creek on our home place.
Hidden Oaks Ranch is proud to be a family run ranch. Our slogan says it all, "Raising Respectable Kids & Herefords." Raising kids and raising cattle goes hand in hand at our place. We have spent the last 15+ years improving our herd of cattle and raising the kids. We are very proud of our registered herd of Herefords and have sought after bloodlines. We have introduced new herd sires over the years and purchased top females in hopes of growing a herd we can be proud of. The drought over the last few years has decreased our numbers, but that has allowed us to keep only the best of the best female to reproduce top quality offspring. We use embryo transfer and artificial insemination extensively.
The ranch is run by the entire family, including the kids - Shelby, Koby, Harley & Brody. Each of them is involved in the day to day operation of the ranch and are a part of the breeding and ranch management decisions. They know their ranch responsibilities comes before anything else. They are actively involved in the National Junior Hereford Association, Texas Junior Associations (Horned & Polled), 4-H, FFA and sports. Therefore, there are some busy kids, but are growing up as responsibile adults. Showing cattle year round across the country is a favorite family activity and they have made memories doing it.
